Bulldog Bend Canoeing Park

Bulldog Bend Canoeing Park offers three different canoeing trips. One trip is downstream of the park, the second is upstream of the park, and the third is a combination of both the first and second trips.

The upstream trip requires the 'shuttle' at the beginning. The downstream trip requires you to wait to be picked up at the mouth of a small creek. I prefer the upstream trip so that I don't have to wait to be picked up. The upstream section is 6 miles and has a challenging waterfall. The downstream trip is 4 miles and offers swimming and a rope swing. You may also combine these trips together for a 10 mile trip.

Directions:

The easiest way to reach the Little Cahaba is from US highway 25 which runs thru Montevallo on to Centerville. About 6 to 7 miles out of Montevallo turn left on Bibb Co. 65 and continue on to either Bulldog Bend or Limestone Park.
